Tactile labels

Our labels are accessible to people with good view, blindness or visual impairments. Our labels were developed in a participatory Design thinking process as part of the Define project.

3D printed name signs on a coarse chipboard. The names are on the signs in braille and profile script. Before the text, the signs have a semicircle with a semicircular recess in the middle. The braille points and the profile script are white or yellow. The base plate of the signs is green, black, white or gray.

The Software for generation of the labels is publicly available under the CERN Open Hardware Licence Version 2 – Strongly Reciprocal.
